Raybow USA was a sponsor of the 2026 ACS Project SEED program at UNC Asheville. The full-time research experiences paired local high school students with UNCA Professors and students in an advanced undergraduate lab setting. The 8-week program wrapped up on Friday, July 31, with poster presentations by the eight student participants.

After the presentations, Pin Lyu, Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry at UNC Asheville, announced, “We have two students traveling to the ACS Fall National Meeting in Chicago to present their posters.”

Lyu is the founder and site coordinator for the University of North Carolina Asheville Project SEED site. This is the second year this ACS program has been hosted on the Asheville campus.

Student participation was made possible by the American Chemical Society, UNC Asheville Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, and Raybow USA.

Raybow USA President and General Manager Matt Lauer commented, “Raybow provided student sponsorship because ACS Project SEED provides high school chemists with next-level laboratory and research experience. We’re proud to help inspire future professional chemists in Western North Carolina.”
